Crown Pumping, LLC provides a clever, timeless engineering design to dispose of, filter, and treat household waste for homeowners who are not connected to a public sewer system. When wastewater leaves your home, it travels to a septic tank where it separates into three layers. Solid waste settles at the bottom of the tank, liquid wastewater (effluent) remains in the middle, and fats, oils, and grease float to the top. Over time, bacteria in the septic tank break down roughly half of these solids; however, there is a limit to how long they can do so before those solids need to be removed from the septic system through regular septic tank pumping.
Crown Pumping, LLC: Experts in Septic Tank Pumping and Care
Pumping is one of the most important services that a homeowner can invest in for their septic system. When done regularly, septic tank pumping helps to prevent clogs in the drain field and expensive repairs to the septic system. Ideally, the tank should be pumped every 3-5 years, depending on household size and usage.
During septic tank pumping, a technician will remove the lid of your septic tank and insert a vacuum hose into the access point. The hose will connect to the pump truck, which will start to suck up any liquids and floating waste in the septic tank. Depending on the volume of waste, this may take between 15 minutes to 1 hour to complete. Once the pumping is done, the technician will replace the septic tank lid and thoroughly inspect the septic system to ensure everything looks good before leaving.
